If I had to choose one of the many moments of ecstasy of this summer, these photos alone certifies my choice.
I can’t tell if it’s this covid time, or the desire to go back to normal or simply because I constantly love life more and more, but this day will remain unforgettable. The fact that I sprained my ankle at the very last, well, I only recall it because I relive those moments now, but it is absolutely secondary.
The return to the roots, the raw ones of the countryside, that ones of simple things, the one where we see the passing of the years, but above all the evolution of the human species, even with only 50 years of difference between yesterday and today. Yet it seems so far away, yet they were our parents or grandparents for other generations.
Fortunately, there are still those who, while keeping up with the times, preserve, elevate and respect the great generational efforts and Puglia is an example for many regions.
Who will go to Puglia, cannot miss this place. You have to book months in advance, and once you’re there you’ll find out why.
These are the small (real) treasures of Italy.
