I learned to gain energy also from the snow, even though I’m a spring-summer person. And this week a lot of snow has fallen, it has compacted and preserved at -10 degrees, but in order to enjoy its magnificence, a getaway out of town is a must. Thus, I am not a winter sport lover, a weekend is really enough to be saturated until next year.(continues below)
The thing that fascinates me most is the silence and the light that the snow gives back. Is able to reflect a different light of the sun, to compact all the noises and to amplify only the sounds of nature. A bit like being in a soundproofed recording studio, but outdoors. (continues below)
Only few months ago in these woods I was wildly hunting for mushrooms and now all I have to do is to admire in silence the still, motionless, icy nature under a blanket of snow with the hope of seeing it again soon, being reborn and giving us all its fruits.(continues below)
Note: Ciccio got literally crazy! While he was hopping in the woods from one side to the other, he would turn from time to time to look for me with the incredulous sight of having landed in a Winter Wonderland. Luckily my NEON sweater gave him occasionally the hope of not being lost … see below Ciccio on a sled… 🙂
