Cooking wonderland

Always and in constant challenge to raise the bar and improve. By now, cooking pasta with tomato bores me, even if the simpler dishes are the more difficult ones.

This time I wanted to work on contrasts and almost 3D in full Christmas theme. I am not attaching any recipes because only two ingredients have been used:

  • the puff pastry
  • fruit with a little sugar

Everything is in knowing how to decorate, the taste comes by itself. There isn’t much to go wrong with fruit. In practice, a perforated disc of puff pastry is spread on the bottom, the fruit is added on top, in this case blueberries with sugar, the other puff pastry is used to decorate on top, whatever you want. To respect the Christmas spirit, I decided to use the blue background of the blueberries as the night sky and the trees, the reindeer and the stars completed the whole landscape.

Obviously precision is the basis for obtaining a surprising effect. It was curious to see that once out of the oven, the blueberries turns red. Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown.

BUON APPETTITO!
